Our story
Post the rona virus ahh, reconnecting with people didn't come as easily as it used to. I've always loved getting creative, but I wanted a reason to bring people together and create in the same space.
Around that time, Paint & Sip was starting to take off, and I remember thinking, "Why don't we have something like this here?" The Northern end of the Central Coast was seriously lacking fun night activities, so I decided to give it a go.
And that's how Silly Yak Studios was born.
My hope has always been that it's more than just a paint class. It's a place to put your phone away, spend quality time with your favourite people, create some potentially sub-par artwork, and leave with a sore belly from laughing so much.
Because honestly, the artwork is just the cherry on top.
What makes us different
We don't take ourselves too seriously. We aren't a franchise and we don't want to be.
Silly Yak Studios is a small, independently run local creative space where every experience is thoughtfully designed, personally hosted, and made to bring only your favourite people together, no randos. We're built around good hangs, a bit of banter and leaning a little more heavily on the Sip part.

Hey, I'm Bec! I'm the face behind Silly Yak Studios. I started this little studio because I genuinely love bringing people together & having a laugh. I'm a local to Wyong and a resident Coeliac (hence the name origins). I'm a bit of a pilates princess and a big time nerd for an adventure romance book. If I'm not here working hard, my husband Taylor and I love to get outdoors and travel the world!
